How to Train your Colonoscope: Turn an Unwieldy Beast into your New Best Friend!
Dr. Kleiman is a staff surgeon in the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, and holds an academic appointment of Assistant Professor of Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. A native of New Jersey, he completed the combined BA/MD program at Rutgers University & Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He then completed his general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center and then a fellowship in colon & rectal surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell & Columbia Campuses and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Kleiman joined the staff of Lahey in 2017 and currently serves as the Director of Robotic Colorectal Surgery and is the Program Director of the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) initiative. He is an active member of ASCRS and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Young Surgeons Committee and is a member of the Engagement Committee and Young Researchers Foundation. His clinical interests include colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, robotic and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and advanced endoscopic resection of large colorectal polyps.
